Believe, and Be Baptised!
What is it?
Baptism is a public declaration of something that has already taken place. It is a spectacular visual expression of the changes that occur when someone becomes a personal believer in Jesus Christ. It is filled with powerful symbolism of new life, of cleansing, of anointing, of death and resurrection.
Who is it for?
Anyone who is mature enough to acknowledge faith in Jesus can be baptised – there are no other qualifications necessary for this act of obedience.
What can I expect?
We baptise by total immersion in water, following the pattern laid out in the New Testament, which has been practised by Christians around the globe in all generations since that time. In this way we are identifying with the entire Body of Christ regardless of time and place.
Why be baptised?
Our baptism services are a part of our regular worship services because this is an opportunity to give witness to the transformation that has happened, not only to friends, family and visitors but also to spiritual powers.
How can I be involved?
We plan to hold baptisms at least three times per year. If you would like to know more please speak to Paul Jevons or contact the office.
