Phainos

Phainos is the Drama Ministry of CGC working to reveal God given truth through dramatic performances in both the church and the wider community.

Drama is a powerful tool that God implements to both inspire and teach. Our vision is to create and establish a theatre/drama company within cgc that can better reach our community with hard hitting, dangerous life-changing drama which has relevance within today’s culture and reveals God to people.

 

We work on acting, writing, stage management and costume making, equipping and encouraging members to develop and increase their giftings and abilities.

 

We meet once a month for drama games/improvisation and to develop new sketches/scripts. We also meet weekly over several weeks in order to rehearse specific dramas.

Our next event is a drama for CGC Basildon  to be performed on 20th November. If you are interested in drama or fancy having a go come and join us. We will be rehearsing every Wednesday starting from 6th October  to 17th November from 8 pm till 10pm at  the centre.

Anyone of any age or any experience is welcome, there are no speaking part, no lines to be learned.All you need is to be able to make the rehearsals and performance dates

Phainos is for anyone, with a passion for drama or an interest in determining whether drama/acting is for them. All ages welcome, the youngest age we have at the moment is 9 years old.
