The CGC student ministry FLUX is about students being fused into the power of God, transformed into his likeness and free to be everything that God wants them to be. We feel a clear strategy to connect into Universities or Colleges within a 30 mile radius. The following is what we feel God has been saying and encouraging us to pursue:-
Student Support Networks
We want to support students both inside and out of our church in every way we can. For those leaving to go to University we would love to get them ready for what they will encounter on campus and that they would feel supported by us when they go away to study. Those students who connect into our community, they can look forward to such things as lunches after our 2nd service on a Sunday, take a student to lunch, adopt a student, mentoring/ discipleship, Life Groups and much more. We would also like to help facilitate students integrating back-in when they graduate.
Partnerships & Alignments
We are committed to working alongside and partnering with Christian and Student Unions, there is a high value placed on building relationships with organisations that are already doing outstanding work in this area. Our desire is to help facilitate what God is doing in the world of education and not re-invent the wheel.
Leadership Development & Mobilisation
We are passionate about seeing emerging leaders raised up to take this and the next generation for the Kingdom of God. There will be leadership forums, training and opportunities to get involved in exciting projects. We want to mobilise people into serving the church and community building a "give as well as take" culture.
Events
There will be lots of wide ranging events and chances to hang out with friends from Costa coffee evenings, BBQ's with live music, live gigs at campuses. Watch this space...
